Mexican low-fare airline Interjet has selected Thales TopSeries IFE equipment for the 15 Sukhoi Superjet 100s it has placed on firm order, according to the carrier’s CEO Jose Luis Garza Alvarez.
The system will be installed with drop-down screens every three rows. Thales TopSeries equipment is also installed on some of the airline’s A320s, although some have Panasonic IFE on board. Garza Alvarez believes that having IFE on the SSJ100s will enables the airline to “give a seamless service with the A320s”.
Interjet has signed a firm order with SuperJet International (SJI) for 15 long range SSJ100s plus options for a further five, with deliveries set to begin in the second half of 2012.
