Thai Airways (THAI) has announced a renewal of its partnership with Bluebox Avionics (Bluebox), committing the airline to the continued use of the Bluebox Ai in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) app.
Having become one of the first airlines to adopt Bluebox’s Ai app for the iPad after its launch in 2012, THAI now deploys over 500 Bluebox units across their flights, offering streaming capabilities of early window content to passengers from all major Hollywood studios.
“Bluebox has helped us optimise our premium cabin service on key routes and we are pleased to renew the relationship in 2014,” stated Thai Airways’ product planning manager, Kanokkorn Areerak. “It is a flexible solution that works really well for us, and our customers certainly enjoy the quality of entertainment experience it delivers.”
Bluebox Ai received the 2014 Inflight Award for ‘Best Handheld IFE System’ at the Inflight Workshop and Awards ceremony held during the Aircraft Interiors Middle East event in Dubai earlier this year.
