TAP Portugal has selected in-flight entertainment (IFE) provider, Touch Inflight Solutions, to meet the carrier’s IFE video requirements for its VOD, VTS, DVD and Tape systems.
Effective from March 2012, this new agreement between TAP and Touch may also expand to include additional services such as media sales in selected TAP markets. The implementation and management will be overseen by Touch’s Director of Business Development, Mariana Peçanha.
"Touch’s selection is the result of an extensive and global search by TAP for the CSP that could best deliver to TAP’s IFE growth and passenger expectations in key markets such as Europe through Lisbon HUB, Brazil and Africa,” commented Rogério Correia, who is responsible for TAP’s IFE, Marketing Media and Content Management. “We received several good and very solid proposals in response to our RFP but ultimately Touch’s response, aided by the enthusiasm of their staff, stood out above all and tilted the balance their way.”
"We have a mission to bring to airlines and passengers a world of global and regional entertainment and through highly customized and humanized customer care,” declared Touch’s Managing Director, Joe Carreira. “We are thankful that we were able to communicate this to TAP in our proposal and we are committed and very much looking forward to the opportunity of consistently demonstrating to them that they made the best possible decision.”
