Swiss International Airlines is to add Swiss television productions to the inflight entertainment available on its long-haul flights from 1 August, the Swiss National Day.
The airline says the new option will offer a choice of nearly 30 quality Swiss television productions including comedies, documentaries and arts-and-culture programmes. The programmes will be provided, in association with Schweizer Fernsehen, on all Swiss Airbus A330-300 and A340 services.
“We want our customers to feel at home aboard our flights,” explains Markus Binkert, head of product and services at Swiss. “So we’re delighted that we can now offer them even more ‘Swissness’ thanks to our new collaboration with Swiss TV.”
The selection of programmes available under the new arrangement will be changed and updated regularly. Details of the TV programmes currently offered on board will also be provided on swiss.com.
