STG Aerospace has completed the first combined installation of a saf-Tglo SSUL and liTeMood system, on behalf of DreamJet trading as La Compagnie.
The saf-Tglo SuperSeal UltraLite (SSUL) emergency floorpath marking system with OverCarpet and a liTeMood LED cabin lighting system was installed on the Boeing 757-200 operated by DreamJet trading as La Compagnie. La Compagnie operates scheduled business class only flights to New York from both Paris and London with 74 lie-flat seats in a 2×2 configuration.
Yann Poudoulec, EVP Technical of DreamJet commented, “We were delighted by the ease with which the saf-Tglo SSUL and liTeMood systems were installed and by the transformative effect they have had on our 757’s cabin lighting. Operating an all-business class airline means we have to pay particular attention to lighting quality and we’re more than confident that we have made the right choice with STG Aerospace.”
According to STG Aerospace, the dual installation, as part of its holistic cabin lighting approach, ensures ‘that different areas of lighting within the cabin are not only task-optimised but also integrated and optimised within an overall cabin aesthetic that enhances both the passenger experience and the airline’s brand identity.’
Certified by the EASA and FAA, SSUL is the latest version of STG Aerospace’s saf-Tglo which is currently installed on over 9,000 aircraft worldwide. SSUL will be an option for airlines to select on new Boeing 737 MAX and Embraer E2 aircraft and is fully certified and available for retrofit.
DreamJet is the first airline to install the SSUL OverCarpet (OC) option. Featuring a hinged-wing design that removes the need for any binding of carpet edges, OverCarpet provides what STG Aerospace claims to be ‘the best possible appearance in the cabin whilst also reducing costs.’
