Southwest Airlines (Southwest) has renewed a multi-year agreement with GuestLogix Inc. (GuestLogix) for the on-board retail and payment technology solutions specialist’s Onboard Retail Technology Platform.
Southwest first launched its cashless cabin using GuestLogix technology in 2008. GuestLogix’s on-board retail technology platform and PCI-compliant handheld POS devices were deployed to accept credit card payments while in-flight with an aim to increase efficiency for crews and provide a secure and convenient payment method for its passengers.
"We are thrilled that Southwest, one of the industry’s most respected airlines, has chosen to continue our relationship and we will remain focused on supporting their on-board retailing initiatives as they continue to evolve,” said Brett Proud, President and CEO, GuestLogix.
The agreement which is fleet-wide also includes the continued use of GuestLogix’s handheld POS devices, back-office solution and warehouse module, as well as the deployment of the Ancillary Insights Platform.
