Tajikistan carrier, Somon Air, has chosen passenger entertainment solutions provider, IFE Services, for the airline’s in-flight entertainment programme.As of September 2011, IFE Services will supply Somon Air with Hollywood blockbuster releases, classic movies, TV programmes and a selection of audio channels. Content will play on the airline’s onboard audio visual on-demand (AVOD) system and be available n English, Russian and Arabic. IFE Services will also meet all of the airline’s digital encoding requirements. "We’re thrilled to have been appointed as the official in-flight entertainment provider of Somon Air," commented Managing Director of IFE Services, Andy McEwan. "Our experienced team is excited about having the opportunity to provide fresh, original and entertaining IFE content for this successful and growing airline.”Established in 2008, Somon Air is the first private airline company in Tajikistan and has, amongst other destinations, regular flights to Moscow, Dubai, Frankfurt-am-Maine and Istanbul.
