SmartTray International (SmartTray) and Satterfield Aerospace have formed a strategic partnership where by the latter will conduct final engineering, design, FAA certification and manufacturing of the SmartTray X2 tray table.
The X2 product is designed to offer safe, easy, and cost effective stowage of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) above and below 10,000 feet. This allows passengers the ability to use their own devices gate-to-gate in accordance with the FAA ruling from October 2013 that “airlines can safely expand passenger use of Portable Electronic Devices during all phases of flight."
“We are extremely excited to partner with a company as solid as Satterfield Aerospace,” said Brian Queenin, President of SmartTray. “They are an established company with excellent credentials in the aerospace industry for solving problems. Their design and engineering capabilities are world class.”
“SmartTray has a very innovative product design, which we feel presents a very rich market opportunity for us,” commented Satterfield Aerospace President, John Satterfield. “We are very happy to have a partnership with such an innovative company like SmartTray.”
