Recaro Aircraft Seating has opened its own dress cover production centre in Swiebodzin, Poland, close to its Recaro Aircraft Seating Polska site.

According to Thomas Keller, managing director of Recaro Aircraft Seating Polska, “In-house production opens up a much higher level of flexibility for us and our customers – even for changes within a current order. Moreover, it shortens both the supply chain and lead time of customer projects.”

Dr. Mark Hiller, chief executive officer of Recaro Aircraft Seating added, “With cut2dress we target at additional growth, and we are taking another step towards even better supporting our customers. Of course, we will in addition continue buying dress covers from reliable partners.”

The first of nine shipsets totalling 186 BL3710 economy class seat will be delivered to LOT in eight months.

At a joint event with Rafal Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, Dr. Hiller (pictured right) stated, “We are very proud of this first order from LOT. Especially when you have a Polish production site for aircraft seats and now for dress covers as well, an order from the national airline represents an outstanding vote of recognition in our performance.”
