Qatar Airways, the global launch customer for the A350 XWB, has become the first airline to fly the new aircraft, with its inaugural service to Singapore and Asia Pacific.
The A350 XWB features Qatar Airways’ Oryx entertainment system with the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) services, including up to 2,000 entertainment options across all classes on individual screens. Business class has 17” HD IFE screens, while Economy features 10.6” versions. The aircraft also has LED mood lighting and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity, again across all classes.
“Singapore is a key market for Qatar Airways and we remain committed to offering our Singapore-based passengers the best in-flight experience possible," said Marwan Koleilat, Qatar Airways’ CCO. "With the A350 XWB, all 283 passengers can be assured of unprecedented levels of comfort across all classes when travelling to Doha and onwards to key destinations in Europe and the Americas.”
