The first of Qatar Airways’ (Qatar) Airbus A350 aircraft, linefit with OnAir’s full in-flight connectivity solution, has been unveiled in Doha.
Initially operating on the Doha-Frankfurt route, Qatar’s A350 will allow passengers to choose between in-
flight mobile phone connectivity and in-flight Wi-Fi depending on their preferences.
OnAir’s next generation in-flight connectivity service (using Inmarsat’s GX Aviation) will be launched on the A350 in 2016, in an aim to provide passengers a consistent experience across the globe as well as a speed of up to 50Mbps.
Ian Dawkins, CEO of OnAir, commented, “Qatar Airways is a long-standing and loyal OnAir customer – its choice of OnAir in-flight connectivity for its A350s speaks volumes about the service we are able to deliver.”
