Australian airline Qantas has made the inflight entertainment on its A380 fleet available from the moment passengers board the aircraft until the moment they disembark, with headsets collected only after disembarkation.
The airline says it will roll out this offering to a number of international and domestic fleets in the future.
Next month Qantas will add a new inflight entertainment programme on all its domestic and international flights. Melbourne model and presenter Pia Miller and television travel presenter David Whitehill will host the Welcome Aboard programme, featuring lifestyle news, product innovations and special offers from Qantas.
Qantas has also commissioned a new theme song, My My by Vanessa Jade, for its domestic inflight entertainment. Finance consultant Alan Kohler will present Q Radio channel Talking Business, while Australian composer and conductor Guy Nobel will host the symphony channel.
