Global entertainment and media agency Spafax is to provide LATAM Airlines with live theatre content from Argentina and Brazil, courtesy of Argentinian streaming service Teatrix.
Eduardo Costa, Marketing & Customer Experience senior director at LATAM Airlines, said: “We want our passengers to know that whenever they use LATAM Play they will find something new and exciting. For us, it’s about giving passengers what they want and expect but also offering them content that is out of the ordinary and unique. Teatrix is a superb addition to our in-flight entertainment, curated by Spafax, and will surely resonate with performing arts lovers of all ages flying LATAM Airlines.”
To debut the partnership, LATAM Play will feature new theatre plays from Argentina and Brazil every month, including the box office hit “Un rato con e´l” and two award-winning plays: Bajo Terapia (Argentina) and Popcorn (Brazil).
Spafax IFE account director, LATAM, Santiago Edelberg said: “Teatrix is fully aligned with LATAM’s content strategy to continue building a Latin-American personality and their passion to deliver the best international, regional and local content. We’re thrilled to help LATAM be the first airline in the region to offer Teatrix onboard.”
The selection of episodes will rotate monthly and be selected from a catalogue of over 100 different genre titles from Argentinian and Brazilian theatre.
Teatrix Originals has been available via LATAM Play as of March 2019.
