STELIA Aerospace has developed a connected passenger seat demonstrator for the Airbus Connected Cabin.

This new seat boasts three key functionalities:

  • Operational efficiency: this new connected passenger seat will allow real time monitoring of hardware performance and big data analytics, therefore enabling airlines to improve their maintenance cycles.
  • Passenger experience: the possibility of pre-setting the seat environment to the frequent flyer passenger preferences will enhance passenger comfort and experience, while improving passenger/crew interactions.
  • Enhanced services: through data monitoring and processing, this connected passenger seat will help airlines better understand the passenger needs in order to offer service enhancements, thus helping build loyalty relationships while increasing revenue opportunities.

Thierry Kanengieser, VP Cabin Interior, STELIA Aerospace, said: “With this new connected passenger seat demonstrator, STELIA Aerospace again demonstrates its capacity to develop state-of-the-art products, integrating the best technology and latest innovations in order to continuously improve passenger comfort experience as well as airline operations.”
