PEW 2019: Molon Labe issues come and get it call

After years of development and testing Molon Labe’s economy class S1 Space Seat has completed all certification testing and is awaiting final FAA Certification.

The S1 Space Seat will debut on a yet-to-be-announced low cost carrier in Q1 2020, and Molon’s manufacturing partners have recently added an additional 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space to accommodate their initial deliveries.

The innovative staggered design of the seat provides increased living space for everyone, as passenger’s shoulders, elbows and thighs are no longer directly adjacent but are offset both vertically and fore/aft. The two-level design of the Space Seat’s armrest delineates the armrest for each passenger.

The staggered layout affords the opportunity to make the middle seat 3 inches wider. This increases the standard A320 seat from 18 inches to 21 inches (if measured from the outer seats backs of adjacent seats it is actually 23 inches wide).

Designed to be durable and reliable the S1 line maintenance requires one tool and all line replaceable maintenance can be completed in less than five minutes.
