The first of 32 A321neo aircraft belonging to Cebu Pacific and equipped with Recaro SL3510 seats has taken flight, making the airliner the first in the APAC region to be flying these seats.

Over the next two years, Recaro will fit another 31 aircraft of the same model for the carrier.

Each seat is equipped with USB slot for in-flight charging of electronic devices. Weighing approximately 40% less than conventional economy class seat models, the SL3510 will allow Cebu Pacific to accommodate more seats on the plane. This additional capacity helps lower unit costs, so enabling the airline to pass on the benefits through lower fares to its customers.

With a subsidiary in Qingdao, China, a service centre and a new APAC hub in Hong Kong, Recaro Aircraft Seating has geared up to meet the growing demand of the Asia-Pacific market.
