Knutsford, UK-based IFE Services has a new managing director. Andy McEwan, whose experience includes senior management and financial roles with Fujitsu in the UK, Oracle in Asia Pacific and E.piphany in Europe and the Middle East, will be responsible for the company’s operations globally, focusing on business development, strategy and growth.
Earlier this month IFE Services announced that it is supplying the entire in-flight entertainment content for Hellenic Imperial Airways’ new Athens-Johannesburg route. The package includes blockbuster and classic movies and a selection of TV programmes for both adults and children plus eight audio channels.
Athens-based Hellenic Imperial started the scheduled service to Johannesburg this week. It plans to inaugurate a new route to New York early next month and expand its network to more than 40 destinations by 2012.
