Tenencia Aerospace Design’s Boeing 757 corporate jet will be getting the Rockwell Collins Venue High Definition Cabin Management System, becoming the first installation of Venue on a Boeing narrowbody aircraft.
"We continue to expand the opportunities for business jet passengers to enjoy a Venue cabin, regardless of the size of their aircraft," noted Tommy Dodson, vice-president and general manager, cabin systems for Rockwell Collins. "The installation of Venue on a narrowbody platform is made possible through the addition of new Venue capabilities specifically designed to meet the requirements of a larger cabin."
New Venue capabilities include flight attendant call functionality, satellite TV control, and ability to host audio and video briefings over the cabin displays.
The Tenencia order came on the heels of the selection of Venue CMS for the Jet Aviation-Basel Airbus A319CJ, an order which includes an option for two further aircraft. Jet Aviation will be the launch customer for the new Venue High Definition (HD) Cabin Management System (CMS) for Airbus A319.
