TrueNorth is developing a new product called InControl to manage airborne telecom costs.
The new software app for the Simphone OpenCabin system not only manages inflight broadband use but reduces recurring service costs.
The system includes features that can track service use on all off-aircraft networks including Inmarsat Iridium, Ku-band and Magnastar. It can also specify the volume of traffic allocated to each passenger as well as automatically selecting the most affordable off-aircraft communications link. Another feature coordinates and simplifies service billing through Satcom Direct, TrueNorth’s exclusive service provider.
