Aviation Technical Services (ATS) has agreed to install the Lumexis Fiber-To-The-Screen (FTTS) inflight entertainment system as a post-delivery modification on 44 Boeing 737-800s for the system’s launch customer, flydubai.
ATS says it will carry out the installations at its facilities at Paine Field in Everett, Washington. Installation of the first system is due to start in October.
“This Lumexis IFE installation programme is an excellent example of how companies can take advantage of our capabilities and prime location being near the aircraft OEM production facility,” says Philip Fields, ATS VP business development.
“ATS can perform virtually any post delivery modification for both single and twin aisle aircraft Boeing aircraft and our customers don’t have to worry about the costs and delays associated with ferrying aircraft to the modification site.”
