Chilean carrier Sky Airline has signed a three year agreement with Lufthansa Systems to implement the navigation data from the latter’s Lido/FMS database on-board its fleet of 16 aircraft.
The FMS database from Lufthansa Systems contains route information such as altitude data, airways and airport data for optimising navigation and supporting autopilots on-board modern aircraft. Lido/FMS will provide Sky Airline with data tailored to its particular aircraft types, cockpit systems and route network.
The navigation data, which is based on global aeronautical information, is updated every 28 days according to the AIRAC cycle.
Sky Airline is based in Santiago de Chile and currently offers primarily domestic services (alongside some flights to further airports within South America).
