Boeing has delivered to Lion Air the carrier’s first Next-Generation 737-900ER with the new Boeing Sky Interior.The Boeing Sky Interior features a number of enhancements, designed to improve the flying experience for passengers. The sculpted sidewalls of the interior provide a feeling of spaciousness with new window reveals making the windows seem larger. LED lighting can be programmed to provide soft blue sky overhead or to create different effects during the flight. Large stowage bins pivot down and out. Intuitive placement of switches and improved sound quality are further features that enhance the passenger experience.Lion Air, Indonesia’s largest private airline, was the launch customer for the Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER in 2005. This delivery represents the airline’s 43rd 737-900ER. In all, the airline has ordered 178 Next Generation 737s.
