Collins Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp, will provide Kuwait Airways with the Super Diamond business class seats and Essence galley inserts for the airline’s new A330-800neo fleet.

The eight A330-800neo aircraft are expected to enter into service in 2020.

The airline’s business class on the A330-800neo aircraft will feature Collins Aerospace’s Super Diamond business class seats with passengers benefiting from all-aisle access, a 78-inch fully-flat business class solution featuring the CrystalFlex diaphragm comfort system, living space with increased stowage, and gate-to-gate in-flight entertainment solutions.

The airline will install 32 pax, or individual passenger placements, per aircraft in a 1-2-1 configuration.

Kuwait Airways’ A330 fleet will also feature Collins Aerospace’s full suite of Essence galley inserts that include steam ovens and espresso machines plus a full suite of galley-chilling equipment.

“Accommodating passengers in today’s competitive airspace means offering highly distinctive experiences through the seat they sit in, the quality of food and beverage service along with other amenities offered throughout a flight,” said Alastair Hamilton, vice president, Sales & Marketing, Interiors for Collins Aerospace. “Super Diamond and our Essence Galley Inserts are proven to exceed expectations and make the passenger’s journey as enjoyable as possible.”

With this order, Kuwait Airways will join more than 20 airlines in selecting the Super Diamond business class seat, and the installations will bring the total number of Super Diamond seats flying worldwide to 10,000.
