JAL Brand Communications (JBC), a subsidiary of Japan Airlines (JAL) which manages in-flight entertainment (IFE) operations, has announced a multi-year renewal of its strategic content services agreement with Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE).
GEE has provided a significant amount of IFE content to JAL for over a decade. The new agreement will see GEE provide its full range of content services, including movies and TV, on international and domestic JAL flights.
“GEE is a leading content service provider to the global airline industry, and a proven source of content packaging, delivery and expertise at the foundation of our in-flight entertainment programme,” declared Yasuhiro Fujita, president of JBC. “This agreement between JBC and GEE represents a long-term partnership that is fully capable of enabling us to meet the evolving IFE demands of JAL passengers for years to come.”
“GEE is honoured to have earned JBC's longstanding trust and business in support of the content delivery at the core of JAL's in-flight entertainment offering,” remarked Amir Samnani, senior vice president of content services for GEE. “We look forward to providing the tailored content solutions that JAL passengers increasingly expect as they travel throughout Asia and around the world.”
