Satcom1 has appointed Jackie Nikolajsen to the role of chief operating officer (COO) with immediate effect.
Reporting directly to Satcom1’s CEO, Henrik Zinck, Nikolajsen will be located in Satcom1’s new headquarters in Vallensbæk, Denmark. As COO, he will manage Satcom1’s operations management,
focusing on the execution of lean processes between Satcom1’s headquarters in Denmark and its facility in France, which deals with research and development, consultancy and technical support.
Nikolajsen will also drive strategic operations planning and prioritise resources and projects in order to meet and deliver to customer requirements and expectations.
Prior to this appointment, Nikolajsen has held several positions – such as head of completion and acceptance, maintenance manager and technical director – at ExecuJet Europe. His other previous roles include general manager at Rizon Jet and, most recently, senior manager of quality and safety, special projects, FBO and facilities at Qatar Executive.
“I have worked with Satcom1 for many years to develop numerous sophisticated SATCOM and connectivity solutions for the end users whom I’ve represented,” Nikolajsen stated. “I am excited to become part of Satcom1, which, in my opinion, has always been at forefront of technological innovation whilst serving the most demanding VVIP customers.
“Satcom1 is a strong and growing company with dedicated commitment to research and development activities and investments in order to continue bringing high-end connectivity solutions to the market which will suit any SATCOM platform, including the latest Ka-band Jet ConneX service based on the Inmarsat Global Xpress (GX) network. This is a journey that I really look forward to being a part of,” Nikolajsen concluded.
