Intelsat 29e readied for take off

Intelsat’s first EpicNG high-throughput satellite, Intelsat 29e, has been mated to the Ariane 5 at the Spaceport in French Guiana.
Intelsat 29e was installed on top of the Ariane 5 launcher yesterday and will now be encapsulated in protective payload fairing. Intelsat 29e will be a solo payload on its 27 January delivery mission to geostationary transfer orbit.Built by Boeing with a lift-off mass of just over 6,550kg, Intelsat 29e will be the 56th Intelsat satellite launched by Arianespace.
