SonyLIV, an Indian premium video-on-demand (VOD) platform, has partnered with low-fare airline IndiGo to give passengers access to a catalogue of 30,000 hours of content via a weekly subscription pack.

IndiGo will provide a subscription link to its passengers for first-time download. Once the transaction is closed, passengers have unlimited access to SonyLIV’s premium content catalogue, even offline, for the next seven days.

Uday Sodhi, Business head, Digital, Sony Pictures Networks India, said: “From long queues to delays in take-off, air travels consume a sizeable time which people spend on binge watching. Our partnership with IndiGo, in an industry first initiative, is cognisance of this viewing pattern and brings on offer our premium content catalogue at just Rs.25. As India’s leading airline, this alliance enables us to extend our footprint to IndiGo’s expanding consumer base and cater to them with affordable, diverse and on-the-go entertainment options on SonyLIV.”
