IFPL, a UK-based provider of passenger interface products, has appointed renowned IFE industry executive Neil Morgan to its sales team.
“We met Neil at our first WAEA show in 1997, and he was very supportive to IFPL when we were a fledgling company in the IFE industry,” explained Geoff Underwood, founder of IFPL. “With so many years experience in this market, I was very pleased that Neil was willing to join us and help with our plans for future growth. IFPL is just launching several new products, so the timing of his appointment couldn’t be better. Neil’s specific responsibility will be to improve our airline customer relationships within the EMEA zone, freeing existing staff to focus on our key IFE&C OEM customers.”
Morgan is a 30-year veteran of the IFE industry. He began his IFE career in 1980 as a service technician with Bell & Howell’s Avicom Division and later became the firm’s European service manager. He has held many, varied roles in the IFEC industry, working for, and representing: Avicom International; Matsushita Avionics Development Corporation; Jetphone; Hollingsead International; TNCi; IEC International; Rockwell Collins and The IMS Company.
IFPL is a privately held company specialising in passenger interface products, and is currently developing mobile payment technologies for passengers. The company also recently announced its new low-cost breakaway connector system which solves the problem of broken pins on headset plugs.
