Iceland Express set to introduce iPads on transatlantic flights

Iceland Express claims it will be the first European airline to offer the Apple iPad on all transatlantic flights with plans to roll out the service early next year.Passengers will be able to watch films and TV shows, listen to music, read magazines/books and play games.“We have been offering a mobile entertainment unit to our passenger for the past two years onboard our European flights, which has been extremely popular,” said Georg Haraldsson, Ecommerce Manager, Iceland Express. “Now that Iceland Express is going transatlantic, it makes sense for us to invest in a device that is more geared towards long-haul.”The London Gatwick – Newark International route will have up to 25 devices onboard.
