Air France short-haul subsidiary HOP is to offer its passengers free access to SKYdeals, an e-commerce platform dedicated to passengers connected to the internet via on-board Wi-Fi, from any electronic personal device.
As January 2019, SKYdeals will be deployed on major French lines, connecting Paris-Orly to Bordeaux, Marseille, Montpellier, Nice and Toulouse.
During the flight, all passengers connected to Wi-Fi will have access to a catalogue of last-minute offers on services depending on their destination (activities, entertainment, hotels, airport transfers), as well as a selection of products (cosmetics, fashion, jewellery, decoration, culture) available at preferential rates, up to 50% discount.
Orders placed on board will be delivered at home or downloadable with e-coupons for services. As of 2019, a “Click & Collect” service will be available in airport shops or in lockers located in baggage delivery rooms.
Passengers will be able to discover Fly over offers, only available when flying over specific areas, auctions sales, group sales and flash sales.
Julien Sivan, CEO and co-founder of SKYdeals, says, “We are excited to deploy SKYdeals on HOP! lines. Partnering with a French company is an important step in our development and the realisation of our project. We are convinced that short-haul lines are a great opportunity for in-flight shoppertainment. This deployment is the first of many to come. Before the end of the year, we will announce major deployments on long and medium-haul.”
