Gogo has joined the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) as its newest affiliate member, which the body defines as airline-related organisations or companies that work closely with the industry in the region.
“We are pleased to welcome Gogo to ALTA’s selective affiliate membership,” commented ALTA’s executive director, Eduardo Iglesias. “In-flight connectivity is fast becoming an important service tool that enables more options and better experience for travellers while on board an aircraft. We look forward to Gogo joining ALTA’s collaborative industry efforts among our member airlines, governments, airports, and local airline associations to continue advancing social and economic growth and development throughout the Latin America and Caribbean region.”
Gogo’s COO, John Wade, averred, “As the global leader of in-flight connectivity with a growing list of ALTA airline members as our partners, Gogo is honoured to become a member of ALTA and help collaborate on the groups’ mission of facilitating the development of safer, more efficient and environmentally friendly air transport in the Latin America and Caribbean region for the mutual benefit of the association’s members, their customers and the industry.”
Brazil-based GOL recently began offering Gogo’s 2Ku IFC service on its flights.
