Jazeera Airways has installed Global Onboard Partners’ in-flight ancillary revenue program on their fleet of A320s.
Launching in April 2019, the project is the first in the Middle East for Atlanta-based Global Onboard Partners.
“We are delighted to be working with Global Onboard Partners to upgrade the in-flight experience on our A320 fleet,” said Rohit Ramachandran, CEO at Jazeera Airways, “Adding the interactive and exciting Global Destination Explorer (GDE) content to our existing IFE will allow us to enhance the customer experience while using Jazeera Screens and to drive additional ancillary revenue.”
The Global Destination Explorer program will provide Jazeera Airways passengers an opportunity to view useful guides to key destinations during their flight in a fun and adventuresome way, while delivering advertising revenues back to the airline. The gamification element of the GDE ensures the attractiveness of the platform for advertisers.
As a standalone application that can be installed into virtually all IFE hardware systems, the Global Destination Explorer GUI/App functions alongside existing IFE software and allows passengers to explore hotels, resorts, restaurants, tours, shows, with many other options available to them while highlighting cities and destinations within Jazeera’s flight network. The Global Destination Explorer software application will be installed on Jazeera’s existing Bluebox Wow IFE system.
The Global Destination Explorer program, a revenue generating App, is scheduled to be launched on the IFE systems of more than 500 aircraft, including on some of the largest airlines in the world.
