Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE) has chosen Betria Interactive’s FlightPath3D geotainment moving map and city destination guide service for its Wireless In-Flight Entertainment Service (WISE) platform.
“The moving map is an essential content feature of our digital media wireless solutions and we're delighted to have a strategic partnership with Betria to utilise what we believe is the most innovative in-flight map solution on the market today,” commented Alexis Steinman, senior VP of software and development for GEE. “Beyond the map's infotainment features and attractive look and feel, the rich media features of Betria's map enable us to extend our sponsorship and advertising strategy by using the map's built in, customisable points of interest.”
Betria Interactive’s new themed map service allows airlines to create a wide variety of engaging, travel related content experiences as an alternative to more traditional in-flight entertainment (IFE) media options. WISE will support FlightPath3D’s HTML5 browser-based moving map as well as a fully interactive 3D application solution.
"We are excited about our partnership with GEE. We share a vision of the IFE future driven by engaging passenger experiences and are committed to delivering game changing solutions together," remarked Boris Veksler, president of Betria Interactive.
