Netherlands-based Foodcase has unveiled a complete new range of Western and Asian style ready meals based on an authentic and local flavour profile.

During a two-year development phase, a team of product developers worked with local chefs to bring real authentic flavours, from two production sites in Europe and South East Asia. All meals are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.

The new meal range has 12 options and are available in new specifically designed packaging for optimal on-board oven space and buy on board and pre-order service.

Wilbert de Louw, CEO of Foodcase commented: “Our meals are shelf stable which provides a less energy and environmentally-friendly supply chain whilst minimising food wastage and potentially increasing sales revenue from improved stock management.”

The meals are centrally produced in two BRC/IFS certified -factories which deliver constant quality and improved food safety and quality. According to Foodcase, meals no longer have to be defrosted for service, and pre-flight preparation and the energy consumption on-board to reheat the meals is reduced. They also claim that flight cancellations will no longer cause food wastage as the transport for return catering is now a more viable and safer option.
