Constant Aviation, a full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul specialist, has completed the first ever installation of Rockwell Collins' Venue cabin management system (CMS) on a Legacy 600 aircraft.
The CMS offers full connectivity via passengers’ personal electronic devices and integrates with high-definition cabin screens utilising the latest Cat-5 Ethernet framework, whilst controlling the in-flight entertainment, lighting, temperature, moving map and galley controls on-board the aircraft.
“The Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management system installation was part of a complete interior refurbishment, avionics upgrade and large maintenance inspection on an Embraer Legacy 600,” said Jay Rizzo, vice president of sales, Constant Aviation. “We worked with Rockwell Collins to tailor a solution for this customer as well as future Legacy customers. This provides our customers with a fixed cost and baseline, all digital system that can be expanded as desired when installed on the Legacy 600s.”
“Since most Legacys have similar seating arrangements, this system reduces costs, lead-times, and provides an exceptional value," added Rizzo. "The Venue system allows great flexibility with other state-of-the-art audio and video solutions. We have several other Legacy customers in line for this new system during their large maintenance events scheduled for later this year.”
