British Airways has introduced a new entertainment category to its IFE system to celebrate Valentine’s Day (14 February).
‘Love is in the Air’ will host a collection of films, TV shows and audio programmes, all connected by a romantic theme, and will air until the end of the month.
Films include When Harry Met Sally, Chocolat, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and the recent release Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool.
Love themed episodes of TV shows include Arrested Development, Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family.
In addition, audio includes poems and excerpts from the likes of Shakespeare, Burns, Hardy, Wordsworth, Yeats, and Puccini, while actor Michael Sheen reads A Lover’s Gift from Him to Her, a collection of romantic poetry.
Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience, said, “We’re always looking at ways that we can enhance our extensive range of films, TV shows, documentaries and audiobooks. So, whether customers are in a relationship, looking for love, or happily single, we hope they enjoy the category and look forward to welcoming them on board.”
