To celebrate Valentine’s Day, British Airways is adding a new category, Love is in the Air, to its in-flight entertainment library.
The channel, which will run until the end of February, hosts a collection of romantic films, TV shows, audio books and music.
The Love is in the Air category is available on the majority of the airline’s in-flight entertainment systems (approximately two-thirds of the long-haul fleet in-flight entertainment systems). Other systems will have a subset of the content.
The full range of films includes An Affair to Remember; Crazy Rich Asians; Gone with the Wind; Juliet, Naked; Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again; The Shape of Water; Something’s Gotta Give; and True Romance.
TV programmes includes First Dates: Valentine’s Special; Fresh off The Boat – Love & Loopholes; Friends; I’m Alan Partridge – Alan Attraction; Inside Hotel Chocolat; It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Modern family: My Funky Valentine & Written in the Stars; The Night of All Night; and Sex in The City.
For audio book fans there is Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary and Marianne Williamson’s The Relationships Workshop while author and biographer Sue Roe reads In Montparnasse. Music lovers can enjoy Elgar and Finzi’s Violin Concertos, and AyseDeniz Gokcin’s A Chopin Affair: Sonatas as well as Lisa Stansfield’s album, Deeper and Ida Sand’s My Soul Kitchen.
Carolina Martinoli, British Airways’ director of brand and customer experience, said: “For many of our customers, being able to settle in to watch some latest film releases as well as much-loved classics is a real treat that they look forward to. Whether our customers are travelling with someone special or wanting to enjoy a good film, we look forward to welcoming them on board with our Love is in the Air channel.”
