The Apple iPad is here to stay in in-fight entertainment, Bluebox Avionics joint managing director David Brown told delegates at the APEX Australasia regional conference.
Tablet devices have been a major driver for change in IFE and are setting new expectations in the user experience, he said. They provide the basis for a powerful, engaging and inexpensive IFE system which allows rapid implementation, he said. iPads also offer a compelling ancillary revenue potential, with many of Bluebox’s 17 airline customers charging for rental.
