Telefonix has appointed Alan Manns (pictured) as its director of business development, Aerospace Division, as the company looks towards continued growth in the domestic aerospace market, and expansion outside of North America.
Manns will be responsible for bringing new technologies and product platforms for the wireless in-flight entertainment connectivity (IFEC) from Telefonix and partner, Product Development Technologies (PDT), to market."On the heels of Telefonix's official launch of its Summit line of IFEC system components at this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo, we could not be more excited to have Alan on board," says Michael Kuehn, Telefonix president. "He is a well-established professional in the rapidly expanding inflight connectivity and entertainment industry, and, with his direction, I'm confident Telefonix will continue to grow and evolve its product offerings and extend market reach."With over 20 years of expertise in the launch and growth of new product lines in the aerospace and technology arenas, Manns joins Telefonix from Kontron, where he led the creation and implementation of global product and marketing strategy for IFEC in his position as business line manager."I am delighted to be joining the most innovative and one of the fastest growing companies in the IFEC marketplace," says Manns. "Telefonix and PDT have made tremendous investments for the future and I'm excited to have the opportunity to be joining such a strong team."
