digEcor has unveiled a new LED cabin lighting solution at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg which is fully integrated with the company’s seat-centric in-flight entertainment system, Glide.
digEcor claims the solution offers airlines four billion colour and light intensity options and is available as a replacement for most aircraft common light fixtures in ceiling and sidewall use. Programmable by the airline, the lighting is controlled by the cabin crew.
“Our easily adjustable and reliable new product delivers more than just exceptional light functionality,” said digEcor’s CEO, David Withers. “It gives airlines another platform to create memorable travel experiences for their passengers by enhancing the special feel of the cabin, reducing the effects of jetlag and creating an elegant and ambient in-flight environment to further develop the essence of their brand.“It is an important part of digEcor’s ‘IFE – Integrated Flight Experience’ and exemplifies our commitment to enhancing the overall passenger experience by building on our reputation as a leader in the delivery of efficient and reliable, in-flight entertainment systems.”
