AIX 2015: BAE Systems announces Vistara as first airline partner for IntelliCabin

BAE Systems announced today at the Aircraft Interiors Expo that the Indian based airline Vistara will be the first partner for the launch of the IntelliCabin in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution.The Samsung powered tablet system offers unprecedented encryption software aimed at securing early windows release content to deliver a premier IFE experience for Vistara’s business class passenger late this year, with plans to tailor the service for bring your own device services for economy class later in 2016.Vistara airlines, launched early this year seeks to become premier airline one the Indian region. “We aim to bring back the joy to flying,” said Vistara CEO, Phee Teik Yeoh. “Our partnership with BAE Systems began at last year’s AIX show here in Hamburg and this partnership is the first step in providing a personal customer approach to our airlines with excellent connectivity and a first class IFE.”Dave Kingstone of BAE Systems added: “IntelliCabin brings a flexible, elegant and simple solution that maximises the Samsung tablet and manages expertly the IFE experience with world-class encrypted content.”
