Bamboo Airways, one of Southeast Asia’s newest low cost carriers based in Hanoi, Vietnam, has selected AirFi’s Portable Wireless IFE variant for a fleet-wide deployment across eight permanent and wet-leased A319 and A320s.

AirFi will provide its fully managed service offering covering all hardware, software, content provision and ancillary revenue generation.

Content includes movies, TV programming, games, audio, digital publications, viral videos and moving map in multiple languages including Vietnamese, English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and French.

“We’re delighted that Bamboo has selected AirFi to underpin its strategy to provide the best possible in-flight passenger experience. AirFi will be packed with the latest Hollywood, international and diverse regionally focused and inspired content. The Asia-Pacific passenger demographic is very diverse and so we have been expanding our in-country expertise using data intelligence we derive from passenger usage to select the best, most cost-effective content and create new profitable ancillary revenue streams,” stated Martijn Moret co-founder and EVP Commercial Asia and Middle East, AirFi.
