Aircell has announced the appointment of Jonathan Cobin as senior vice-president of project and operations management.
Cobin will oversee the overall success of Aircell’s organisational and operational effectiveness. In addition, Joe Cruz, executive vice-president and chief technology officer, will focus on Aircell’s technology roadmap and development of the company’s next generation technologies. Both Cobin and Cruz will report directly to Aircell’s president and CEO, Michael Small.
Prior to joining Aircell, Cobin served as the vice-president of strategic planning at Centennial Communications and was instrumental in formulating the company’s overall strategy as well as planning and executing major growth initiatives and milestone transactions. Prior to Centennial, he held positions of increasing responsibility as a strategy consultant at Dean & Company, and in investment banking at JP Morgan.
Joe Cruz has been leading Aircell’s engineering and technology teams since 2003. His experience includes senior executive roles in the aviation, satellite and terrestrial communications industries with companies including Ameritech Cellular and LG Electronics.
