Air Canada has selected Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace) for a cabin reconfiguration contract across its eight Airbus A330 aircraft. The first A330 will re-enter service in the third quarter of 2016, with the last aircraft targeted for redelivery by the end of the first quarter 2017.
tAs part of the airline’s wider on-going fleet airframe maintenance and reconfiguration project, the economy class section will be enlarged to accommodate additional premium economy seats. An audio and video on-demand system will also be integrated. The scope of work also extends to maintenance checks for the entire aircraft fleet.ttThe latest contract extends Air Canada’s relationship with ST Aerospace which has so far redelivered 12 Boeing 767-300 aircraft, following a full cabin reconfiguration programme which includes engineering design, modification kit manufacturing, aircraft modification, certification, as well as overall programme management.t
