BOC Aviation is to lease five new Airbus A320-200 aircraft from its order book to China’s Zhejiang Loong Airlines, with the planes due for delivery this year.
Loong Air, which provides integrated passenger and cargo transportation services, has an ongoing fleet expansion plan and is based out of Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport. It currently has a fleet of 23 aircraft and operates 116 passenger and cargo services across China and South-East Asia, 43 of which emanate from Hangzhou.
“Hangzhou represents a major hub with strong growth prospects, and Loong Air plays a significant role in its development. We look forward to co-operating successfully with Loong Air,” said Robert Martin, managing director and CEO of aircraft lessor BOC Aviation, which presently has a fleet of 494 aircraft owned, managed and on order.
