HMG Aerospace is proud to announce the return of the Inflight Workshop & Awards to Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) 2016.
Taking place on 3 and 4 February at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, the Inflight Workshop has expanded to cover two days to bring attendees seven sessions on the most critical issues concerning the in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) industry.
In another new development, Day One will be made up of three sessions entirely dedicated to connectivity, with the aim of giving delegates a complete overview of what can often be a confusing topic (even for those who work in the industry!).
The highlight of Day One includes a panel discussion on satcoms. ‘Here and Now: The Fast and the Infuriating’ will explore the approaches of different suppliers to satcom deliveries, from launching a satellite through to its deployment on-board ‘the connected aircraft.’
The cutting-edge conversation on Day Two of the Inflight Workshop will focus around more diverse topics. ‘Off the Cuff’ will outfit attendees with a good understanding of the latest news on wearable technology, whilst ‘Safeguarding the Content’ will conspire to de-bunk the issue of in-flight security, a topic which appears to be becoming more and more pressing each day.
As is tradition, the workshop will come to its climax in the form of an awards ceremony to recognise the key industry successes throughout the twelve months in the Middle East region. Award categories remain the same as last year: Best seat-centric IFE system; Best handheld and/or wireless IFE system; Innovation in commercial airline cabins; Middle East content innovation; Best global connectivity provider; Innovation in corporate jet cabins; and Best airline IFEC provider for the Middle East. Last but not least, the ceremony will finish with the announcement of who has won Inflight’s own prestigious award, Airline of the Year.
As well as bringing you two jam-packed days of insightful talks, the Inflight Workshop is once again complemented by the Inflight IFEC Pavilion, which plays host to some of the biggest names in the IFEC industry. Exhibitors include Gogo, Lumexis, Panasonic, Rockwell Collins, SITA OnAir, Thales and Zodiac Aerospace.
