Inflight MENA

Inflight MENA postponed until 2021

As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, Inflight MENA has been postponed until 2021. We would like to thank all those who were due to exhibit in the Pavilion and speak as part of the Workshop, as well as those who nominated their colleagues for one of our seven industry awards. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back next year for the eighth edition of an event dedicated to IFEC and cabin technology developments in the Middle East and North Africa regions.

About

Inflight and Aviation MENA, a summit and exhibition featuring over 100 global aviation companies, have announced a new partnership to co-locate an Inflight regional event at the first Aviation MENA Summit & Exhibition from 9–10 June 2020 in Cairo, Egypt. Inflight MENA follows seven successful years of holding an event in Dubai serving IFEC and cabin technology developments in the Middle East and North Africa regions. Inflight MENA will comprise a pavilion, workshop and awards, a unique format which brings together key airline leaders in an environment which stimulates discussion and debate. Moving this year’s event to Cairo recognise’s North Africa’s catalytic role in the development of the aviation industry over the last decade.

Showcasing Innovation

A key area for airlines in the adoption of new cabin interior solutions is access to a trusted supply chain network, access that the Inflight MENA pavilion, workshop and awards will facilitate. The Pavilion provides an area of the exhibition floor reserved exclusively for the latest innovations in passenger experience, where leading in-flight entertainment and connectivity manufacturers alongside aircraft interior suppliers showcase their product and service solutions.

Engaging Debate

The Inflight workshop sees senior airline executives and industry leaders from across the cabin technology and aircraft interiors spectrum debate the latest topics affecting the market. The agenda includes: connectivity, seating and in-seat power, accessibility, in-flight entertainment systems and content provision, satellite communications, lighting, sustainability and ancillary revenues. Each session is open to all, and delegates may attend as many sessions as they wish.

Why Attend?

Inflight MENA is a must-attend event for suppliers and manufacturers delivering the latest innovations in cabin interiors and in-flight technology to airlines serving the Middle East and North Africa regions. The two-day pavilion and workshop provide the ideal platforms for suppliers, providers and buyers to network and establish new relationships with airlines that are leading the way in offering an optimal in-flight experience.

“We are excited to announce this collaboration with Times Aerospace which allows us to continue providing this key region with the same quality event, highlighting key topics which are debated by the highest level of speakers and delegates in the industry. A move to Cairo enables us to deeper represent and penetrate the exploding North African market. A partnership with Times Aerospace, who have a huge following in the region, provides the perfect platform from which to do just that. It’s a perfectly timed and incredible opportunity to be working with such an established Aerospace event leader.”
Becky Howells, Event Director for HMG Aerospace

Inflight MENA and Aviation MENA will be bringing the whole region together with conference programmes, exhibition and awards that will break down the “Haves” and “Have Nots” and share the aspirations and plans of the industry players from across the region.

Airlines from re-emerging countries across the Middle East will join the established players from the region, as well as operators from North Africa, to share thoughts and strategies, and meet with the international audience and supply chain who want to work alongside them.

At the centre of the debate will be Egypt – the historic heart of the industry across the whole Arab world – with its national carrier EgyptAir – the summit host and partner in the event.

You can expect to hear from leaders within government, civil aviation authorities, airlines, airports and aviation services companies.

Inflight MENA will be inviting high-quality participants from the aircraft interiors and cabin technology spectrum to both attend the event and take part in the engaging workshops taking place over the two days.

Schedule

Satellite communications
With airlines facing a growing list of satellite-based in-flight connectivity options, does it really matter what orbit (LEO, MEO, GEO) comes out on top? What does the growing size of constellations mean for satellite safety – is space becoming overcrowded?

In-Flight Entertainment Systems
How can you design a collaborative experience between seatback screens and personal electronic devices to become more responsive to passenger needs? Are regional airlines hungry for streaming and/or Wi-Fi options, and what content is most suitable to be pre-loaded?

Content Provision (IFE)
As airlines roll-out new IFE systems, how do you design a successful graphical user interface? What partners should you involve and what are steps needed in this process? How does the GUI affect how content is viewed and accessed, and can content/apps influence the design process?

Ancillary revenues
According to reports, the Middle East region continues to represent one of the higher revenue opportunities for both domestic and international Full Service Carriers and Low Cost Carriers. But what are the opportunities for airlines to enhance the passenger experience and grow new revenue streams?

Connectivity (IFC)
With more airlines rolling out in-flight connectivity, are carriers being tactically creative with on-board connectivity and what does a fully connected crew mean?

Seating
The automotive industry is having a profound impact on aviation seats. We will discuss what lessons aviation seat manufacturers can take from their automotive counterparts, and what this means for future seat design and production.

In-seat power
How are airlines responding to the increasing demand for in-seat power? Does AC power still have a future and what options are available across all cabin classes? Can in-seat power be monetised?

Lighting
Understanding the total lighting environment in the cabin is key. We will discuss how lighting, both line-fit and retrofit can affect the passenger experience and is Li-Fi a potential game changer for the industry?

Floor Plan

The Inflight pavilion dedicates an area of the exhibition floor to the latest innovations in passenger experience. Product/service solutions from leading IFEC manufacturers and aircraft cabin suppliers are displayed in front of a highly targeted audience of key airline decision-makers from the MENA region.

With the Inflight workshop providing an open conference forum at the heart of the pavilion, a constant stream of high quality delegates is guaranteed. Don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to attract new customers in an increasingly competitive regional space.
