Mesaba Aviation announces July performance data
August 13, 2010Pinnacle Airlines Corporation has released capacity and operational results for its Mesaba Aviation subsidiary for July 2010.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 328,666,000, a 4.9% decrease on July 2009’s figure of 345,560,000. Available seat miles (ASMs), however, were cut by 6.9% to 405,247,000 from 435,231,000 last July.
These figures resulted in a load factor increase of 1.7 percentage points to 81.1% in July 2010 from 79.4% in the respective month last year. The airline carried 581,961 passengers in July 2010 compared with 657,108 carried 12 months previously, an 11.4% decrease.
The only fleet change over the two periods was a reduction in Saab 340s to 32 in July 2010 from 49 last July. The airline also flew 19 CRJ200s and 41 CRJ900s in July 2009 and July 2010.
