KLM iPads bring IFE to lounges

News : KLM iPads bring IFE to lounges July 27, 2010
KLM has introduced iPads loaded with a selection of the airline's inflight entertainment to its Schengen and non-Schengen Crown Lounges at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.

The lounges feature tables mounting four iPads, each loaded with apps and interactive games along with the IFE content.

KLM says offering its customers this new way to make their waiting time on the ground more pleasant reflects its ongoing interest in new technology and the latest travel trends.

“It’s great that we could make the iPad available in the Crown Lounges at Schiphol so quickly,” says vice president marketing and brand Adriaan den Heijer. “First of all, it’s fun for our premium customers. But it’s also great that it can work as a driver for our ambition to serve as an active player in consumer technology and travel experience.”
