Frontier Airlines is to launch nonstop service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and Kansas City International Airport (MCI) with one daily roundtrip flight beginning on 11 June.

“We are very excited to be back in New Orleans launching this community’s only nonstop flight to Kansas City,” explained Daniel Shurz, VP of planning and strategy. “With the upcoming addition of our nonstop service to Denver on 11 June, our New Orleans customers will enjoy easy access to our more than 70 destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.”

Frontier’s Kansas City–New Orleans service will be flown with Embraer 170s, which will be outfitted with Gogo inflight internet service by the end of 2010.

Flights will depart Kansas City at 09:10 and arrive in New Orleans at 11:05. The return service will leave New Orleans at 11:35 and land in Kansas City at 13:35.
